You thought Jackman’s Wolverine was dead in the wake of Logan, never to be seen again? Well he’s back in Deadpool & Wolverine, which sees Deadpool recruiting Wolverine to help save his world.
“I don’t know anything about saving worlds,” Deadpool says to Wolverine in his rallying speech. “But you do. You were an X-Man. You were THE X-Man.”

Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin wrote the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine for Marvel, with Shawn Levy (Free Guy) seated in the director’s chair.
The future of the franchise was unclear in the wake of Disney acquiring Fox, where the previous two movies had been made. Deadpool is now officially a Marvel Studios property.
Back in 2016, Deadpool scored big at the box office with a $782 million worldwide gross. The sequel in 2018 surpassed even that massive total, pulling in $785 million worldwide.
As for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, he’s been playing the character on screen since X-Men in 2000. He returned to the role in multiple films, including X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), The Wolverine (2013), and Logan (2017).
