The Ghost With The Most will soon make his return, but until a trailer is dropped, Entertainment Weekly has revealed first look images.
You can check out both images below, which give us our first look at Michael Keaton back in the Beetlejuice makeup and costume for the first time in decades. Keaton looks fantastic in this shot, like he hasn’t missed a beat. The second image reveals Winona Ryder’s return as Lydia Deetz, while also giving us a first look at Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid!
Burton reveals in the new chat with Entertainment Weekly this morning that the storyline for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, set decades after the first movie, kicks off with a death that brings everyone back together. We expect the first trailer is coming very soon. Stay tuned.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice haunts theaters on September 6, 2024, and the cast features Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci, Catherine O’Hara and Justin Theroux will also star in the upcoming sequel, with frequent Tim Burton collaborator Danny Elfman coming back to compose the film’s score.
The original classic was directed by Burton in 1988 and has become a cult favorite. It starred Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as ghosts who haunt their old home. When a little girl (Winona Ryder) accidentally unleashes a mischievous ghost (Michael Keaton), the ghosts try to drive the homeowners (Catherine O’Hara and Jeffrey Jones) out of the house.
It is quite awesome to see Keaton back in the makeup again and I hope it lives up to the hype.
