“Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” Trailer Drops

Controversy continues to surround a franchise that continues to bomb on the small screen and cannot get its act together on the big screen.

Political ideology is done over just fan entertainment. Though the animation department seems to do ok as the first trailer has been released for “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire,” the next set of animated shorts set within the “Star Wars” universe.

The first season saw multiple episode arcs split between two protagonists – Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku. This seasone the two characters we follow will be Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee.

Journey into the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on divergent paths as the episodes focus on previously untold events in the lives of the featured characters.

We’ll see how a young Morgan Elsbeth navigates the expanding Imperial world towards a path of vengeance, while former Jedi Barriss Offee does what she must to survive a rapidly changing galaxy. The choices they make will define their destinies.

Voice actors include Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Meredith Salenger as Barriss Offee, Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn, Jason Isaacs as the Grand Inquisitor, Rya Kihlstedt as Lyn, a.k.a. the Fourth Sister, Wing T. Chao as Wing, and Matthew Wood as General Grievous.

“Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” is created by Dave Filoni and is set to return on Disney+ on May 4 – aka. Star Wars Day.

Though I do wish some original tales can be told or perhaps some from a batch of characters yet told in live action.
