“Supernatural” one of the longest running tv series in history with a popularity to match was rumored to have revivals, spinoffs and all kinds of new updates.
However, it seems at this time…that won’t be happening anytime soon.
This is disappointing news to fans of the series. During an executive session with CW Boss Brad Schwartz, he stated: “We’ve had no discussions about any kind of spinoff…”.
This seemingly confirms that no talks or any type of hope for a continuation of the series are happening anytime soon.
Schwartz stated: “We’ve had no discussions about any kind of spinoff. Supernatural was one of the Top 10 most-streamed shows last year. And it’s an incredible franchise with an incredible legacy, incredible history. We’re really excited about the new season of Walker with Jared Padalecki.”
The series currently sits at a 93% average Critic and 72% average Audience score. The show went on to produce a total of 15 seasons and finished its final season in 2020.
Two spinoff series titled Wayward Sisters and Bloodlines had backdoor pilot episodes but failed to earn a series order. The prequel series titled The Winchesters premiered in 2022 and had one full season before being canceled.
