Sylvester Stallone takes to social media to share a new image of himself back in character as Dwight “The General” Manfredi in Tulsa King season 2.
The image features Stallone sporting a purple suit and holding up a fist in front of a large bell. "Ringing the Bell on location for TULSA KING part two..." Stallone writes in his caption for the post.
Why Tulsa King Season 2 Could Be Even Better Than Season 1
The Finale Sets Up An Intense New Batch Of Episodes
As of writing, Tulsa King season 1 has a strong 79% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience score is even higher at 91%, suggesting the series has gone over well with audiences and critics alike. Despite the reviews already being positive, however, the Tulsa Kingseason 1 ending sets the show up to become even more exciting in season 2.
Season 1 featured a fair amount of violence and a lot of tension, but the finale features Dwight being taken away in the police car. In the end, it was bribery that resulted in his arrest, with Dwight having sent Stacy (Andrea Savage) a hefty sum in an attempt to apologize. While bribery is just a drop in the bucket when it comes to the larger criminal activity taking place, the investigation could unearth Dwight's other wrong-doings, meaning everything he spent season 1 building now hangs in the balance.
The Tulsa King season 2 cast is expected to feature the return of a number of favorites from season 1, including Martin Starr as Bodhi, Jay Will as Tyson, Max Casella as Armand, and Domenick Lombardozzi as Chickie. Behind the camera, Craig Zisk has come aboard as executive producer, and his experience as an EP on Weeds, not to mention directing work on shows like Halo, For All Mankind, and Veep, suggests the show is in good hands. It remains to be seen how Tulsa King compares to season 1, but the ingredients are there for a strong sophomore outing.
